Alicia Araujo (Lee)
Acupuncturist
Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture)
As a Chinese Medicine Practitioner, Alicia has a gentle approach and uses a combination of acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping, massage, diet and exercise therapy focused on restoring the body to a balanced state.
Alicia was first inspired to study Chinese Medicine after helping a close family member who was diagnosed with cancer through the challenges of chemo and radiation treatment. This experience led to a desire to change career path into something that involved health and prevention rather than cure. She was drawn to the holistic nature of Chinese Medicine, which encompasses the mind, body and soul – “What I love most about this profession is the connection you make with people and how you can change their lives in a positive way and help them with their issues.”
She is passionate about women's health and gynaecology related issues such as menopause, menstrual irregularities, assisting with natural fertility and IVF support as well as general stress and pain relief. Having a background of working with child development and education via sports coaching, she also has a special interest in paediatric health and is trained in using the Japanese style Shonishin, a non-invasive treatment for children from six weeks of age.
Alicia is a graduate of the Endeavour College of Natural Health and holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture). She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA).
