Cupping
An ancient technique involving the use of glass cups. A vacuum is created inside the cup, which is then placed on the surface of the skin. This creates a suction effect, which draws the stagnant Qi, blood and toxins in the underlying muscles to the surface of the body. This helps to relieve tension and stiffness in the muscles and invigorate the blood flow to the area. Cupping is used to relieve symptoms of the common cold as well as a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions such as tight sore or stiff muscles e.g. Back/neck/shoulder pain. It is often used in conjunction with an Acupuncture treatment.
